alexomeara.com update and much more underway
This is my site Written by Alex on January 5, 2011 – 3:39 pm

I don’t want  anyone to think I am languishing in my blogging and homepage/website maintenance responsibilities because my last entry was almost a month ago. Gayle – wonderful, talented Gayle – at rustixsinteractive.com is working on updating my site. (Yes, we are adding a photo of me in which I have hair. And info about the novel. And info about just about everything else so it is not ALL about Chasing Medical Miracles.)

In the meantime, there are a few things I would like to recommend for your cultural pleasure. One is the film Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired. As Doug Stanhope so accurately and trenchantly twittered from his Facebook post:

Roman Polanski doc “Wanted and Desired” amazing. Hitler killed his mother, Manson killed his preggo wife – wont be surprised if Dog the Faggot Bounty Hunter brings him back into custody.

Which reminds me, if you do not know Doug Stanhope or his work go here and know it. You are the lesser for not knowing this brilliant individual who is an incredible host at football games and a truly original human being and commentator. (Technically, perhaps on his W-2, he puts “comedian” but it seems a put down in light of his talent so I tiptoed around it.)

Meanwhile I started attending my first-ever writing workshop. Brilliant stuff at writefree in Bisbee. It’s a program that began and is going strong in Portland but is also expanding to other sites. To learn more about this amazing program, please visit this site and consider establishing such a program in your community.

I will also start teaching my first college class – English fundamentals – at Cochise College on Monday. I am looking forward to it very much. In addition, I am playing Reverend Brown in Bisbee’s Obscure production of Inherit the Wind, with performances the end of this month. And, if you go to the Bisbee’s Obscure blog site you will be treated to a photo of me … with a full head of hair. Sometimes, I do manage to get a few thing done.
